The time-tested UNI Dicht®-

application-oriented individuality


The PFLITSCH cable gland system UNI Dicht® fulfils all the EU requirements for cable and line entries. With the 6,000 individual parts, over 20,000 gland variants can be produced. The UNI Dicht® comes in the sizes M6 to M120 for a sealing range from 1 mm to 110 mm, but also in the well-established Pg threads and with international threads such as NPT, CTG or inch. The system is available in the metals brass, zinc, stainless steel, aluminium, and in the plastics PVDF and PA. PFLITSCH manufactures the sealing inserts from high-grade TPE and TPE-V as well as LSR. The thermoplastic elastomers (TPE and TPE-V) are resistant to many modern chemicals and ensure enhanced strain relief, due to the fact that they slightly enlarge their volume, for example, when in contact with cutting oils.

The UNI Dicht gland comprises the gland body and individual sealing insert. The clamping ranges of the sealing inserts are marked with the UNI colour code, a red sealing insert, by way of example, being able to be used for a cable with an external diameter between 13.0 mm and 9.0 mm. A yellow sealing insert is suitable for 6.5 mm to 4 mm cables, making reductions superfluous. The user assembles his individual gland from these system components – to fit the actual application conditions, cable diameters, ambient temperatures, number of cables, etc. concerned. This is individuality in series quality, for example, even when inserting flat and special cables such as the ASI bus or customised cables through split sealing inserts and when installing several – even different – lines through a multi-gland.

The user can assemble his individual cable gland to fall in line with the actual application requirements: Connecting thread, bending protection, increased strain relief, angular glands, sealing flat cables, split sealing inserts for customised cables or the combination with hoses or corrugated tubes are simple to realise in the system. Should existing boreholes be too small, UNI Dicht® will help in the extended design.
