Splittable cable entry

The new UNI Flange® cable entry system from PFLITSCH is a product range that sets new standards for intelligent cable entry. The two-part, fully separable split frame manufactured from high-quality PA plastic can be inserted into standard 112 mm x 36 mm sheet metal cut-outs for 24-pin heavy-duty plug-in connectors.

The PFLITSCH solution impresses – especially in comparison to other commercially available products – with highly effective seal and strain relief complementing simplicity of installation and removal. The ability to spit apart the frames and pressure screws allows preassembled cables to be fitted simply and easily fed into switchgear cabinets or housings.

 

The new UNI Flange® from PFLITSCH eliminates the disadvantages of many conventional flange solutions. These disadvantages include the large number of parts making the tasks of installation and removal very complicated and the limited strain relief. Three cable gland bodies are integrated into the PFLITSCH split frame in which over 100 different slots can accommodate separated or standard sealing inserts from the UNI Dicht® range. Sealing inserts manufactured from TPE-V are available for cable cross sections of 2.0 mm to 20.5 mm. Multiple sealing inserts provide a space-saving means of introducing several cables, even if they have different diameters. Inserts for flat and special cables are also available. The PFLITSCH principle of “customised perforations” allows for individualised sealing inserts – designed to suit the number and diameters of the cables. Special expanding pliers ease the task of inserting the cable.

 

The "soft-pressing" action of UNI Dicht® provides IP 66 ingress protection and a secure seal without causing irreparable cuts to the cable. UNI Flange® also offers high strain relief (Class A, EN 50262) and is suitable for use in a temperature range of -20 °C to +80 °C.

 

UNI Flange® measures 150 mm x 52 mm and can be screwed either from the outside or from the inside into the cut-out of e.g. a switchgear cabinet. Screwing from the inside achieves full contact protection to class 2 (DIN EN 61 61140, VDE 0140-1). A continuous seal prevents the entry of water jets from any direction and dust. After an intensive testing phase with the first users, the new UNI Flange® is now immediately available in the colours grey and black.
