PIK trunking –
the solution for small cross sections
With PIK trunking (Fig. 1-4), the user can make full use of the benefits of the large Industrial trunking also for installing smaller cable volumes. Unlike the well-known steel-armoured conduit, PIK trunking can be opened along its entire length, enabling cables assembled with connectors or sensors to be simply laid in. Ducts that have already been installed can be opened for repairs or subsequent installations at any time as well.
PIK trunking can be combined with the Industrial trunking (Fig. 2), by way of example, as an outlet or in the trunking for perfect separation of data, control and power lines. PIK trunking comes in ten practice-compatible cross sections between 15 mm x 15 mm and 200 mm x 60 mm made of galvanised, grounded or powder-coated steel sheet or stainless steel. Angular shaped components offer space-saving installation of electric cables. Shapes parts with radii protect glass-fibre cables from kinking. All 90° connections are made from connecting pieces that are pressed or screwed in, guaranteeing secure equipotential bonding.
The clip-on trunking covers close the PIK trunking securely and when required can be re-opened with a cover lifter (Fig. 3). Accessories such as edge protection (Fig. 4), end caps, partitions and retaining clips come with the equipment. Due to the retaining clips and large attachment intervals, the outlay for assembly is reduced to a minimum. Notches for cable outlets are produced simply and burr-free with the PFLITSCH system tools.
