New trainees at PFLITSCH
Our new trainees made their entrance into the world of work on 01.09.2011: Theresa Breidenbroich, Felix Kaufmann and Annika Langbein began training as industrial business management assistants. Leonid Ehlenberg and Dennis Emmerich are on their way to being machinists and Fabian Lietza is training to be an information technologist. Theresa Breidenbroich, Leonid Ehlenberg, Felix Kaufmann and Annika Langbein are some of the second-year students at the vocational college in Hückeswagen who are aiming for a Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) apprenticeship or a general certificate of aptitude for higher education in three or four years' time.
On their first day, the new trainees took an all-action route to finding out more about PFLITSCH: Instead of a normal company tour, they went on a job rally organised by the older trainees and Training Manager Sabina Waßmuth. Getting to know one another was the order of the day on 02.09.2011. With this in mind, after a hearty breakfast and in beautiful weather, the group undertook a sailing trip on the Bever. The newcomers were accompanied by Sabina Waßmuth and some of the other trainees.
In the second week, everyone had an intensive induction into the world of work at PFLITSCH. They found out what the official safety and accident prevention regulations are, the contacts for various departments in our head office, in international sales and in production. In addition, the trainees learned how to use the time-recording systems and how the rest break, annual leave and sickness absence rules work. Their rights and obligations were explained, as was everything to do with the PFLITSCH corporate identity. The objective of the second induction phase was to provide these young adults with a comprehensive and intensive insight, while giving them an opportunity to raise questions together as a group and gain in confidence. In the third week, the trainees joined the various departments selected individually for them. At this point PFLITSCH wishes all nine trainees a good start and a great time!
