PFLITSCH is gradually replacing its cable glands with lead-free brass versions. For our customers, this means early planning certainty with regard to future regulatory requirements – while maintaining the same technical properties and proven approvals.
Prepared ahead of time
PFLITSCH has had several years’ experience with lead-free brass alloys. Since 2021, variants of selected product ranges with a lead content of no more than 0.1% have been available.
Your benefit: planning certainty without technical compromises
The portfolio transition is being carried out in such a way that the agreed technical properties – such as tightness, EMC properties, strain relief, impact resistance and temperature ranges – continue to be fulfilled. The approvals relevant to the respective applications also remain valid.
Gradual changeover until 2027
PFLITSCH is gradually converting its product lines to lead-free brass. As soon as a product line has been converted, the relevant items will be marked with the suffix ‘LF’ for ‘lead free’. Customers who wish to make the switch earlier can arrange this individually with their PFLITSCH contact.
Why is PFLITSCH making the switch?
Lead is increasingly coming under regulatory focus. PFLITSCH is responding to this development at an early stage, thereby providing planning certainty for customers and supply chains.
