SPS IPC Drives 2017: The digital transformation in focus
SPS IPC Drives is the leading trade fair and main point of contact for everyone interested in solutions for electronic automation. New records were set this year and the importance of the trade fair to the industry reconfirmed. With 1.675 exhibitors and 70.264 visitors both domestic and international, attendance at the trade fair exceeded last year's figures.
The continuing dominant topic for many companies is still "Industry 4.0" and this was again one of the focuses at this year's event. Against this background, SPS offered visitors a complete overview of the market and helped them in their search for intelligent product solutions. Because of the increasing overlap between the spheres of IT and automation, the stands no longer exhibit components alone, the focus is increasingly moving onto integrated automation solutions.
On the PFLITSCH trade fair stand, visitors had the opportunity to find out – for the first time in a live demonstration – the advantages of our components, processing machines and machine tools, which we have designed for maximum compatibility with one another. This interoperability ensures higher efficiency and reproducibility when routeing cables.
In an interview with the Konradin publishing group, Roland Lenzing and Mathias Stendtke, the Managing Partners at PFLITSCH, spoke about the demands of the market, current trends and PFLITSCH highlights for the coming year. Both interviews are available on our website. (German language only)
SPS IPC Drives in Nuremberg marks the end of the PFLITSCH 2017 trade fair year. The next event, the light & building trade fair in Frankfurt/Main from 18–23.03.2018, is already in preparation.
