Comprehensive Ex-protection for gas and dust environments
PFLITSCH has many ATEX-certified cable glands for use in potentially explosive atmospheres – e.g. in the chemical, pharmaceutical and food industries, agriculture, wood processing and the metal industry.
- Areas of use G (Gas) and D (Dust)
- Equipment class II
- Explosion protection type e (increased safety) as well as d (pressure-tight encapsulation) in zones 22, 21, 2 and 1
The UNI Dicht Ex-cable gland versions in metal (brass and stainless steel) are available in sizes M10 to M80 and Pg 7 to Pg 48.
The blueglobe ATEX cable gland is available in a brass version and a stainless steel version. Both versions can be ordered with a sealing insert made of either TPE or silicone. The TPE sealing inserts are suitable for operating temperatures between −20 °C and +60 °C. If the operating temperatures are below or higher than this range, silicone sealing inserts must be used; these permit operating temperatures between −55 °C and +160 °C. Our blueglobe cable glands for use in potentially explosive atmospheres are available in sizes ranging from M10 to M85.
Great caution must be shown and care taken when dealing with explosive atmospheres. For this reason, we urgently recommend that you seek the advice of a PFLITSCH account manager or one of our sales partners. These experts are also able to tell you which ATEX certifications have been awarded to the cable gland you wish to use. Depending on the size of the gland and the material from which it is made, there are differences that must be taken into account during your project planning.
